Summer is underway and this is the time of year where the weather is feeling great, people are outside, and the last thing you want to do is be in the house. I also find it more difficult to save money in the summer. It just seems like there is so much more to do! So here are some idea I came up with for some productive ways to spend your summer while also maybe saving you some money.
1.Start a fitness journey
I’ve been on a fitness routine for the last couple weeks or so and I can not tell you enough how much better I feel. Believe it or not working out is free. Society will make you believe that you have to buy all these fancy workout clothes and gadgets in order to get healthy but that is just marketing. Summer time is a great time to get in the habit of eating healthier and starting a workout routine. I’ve been following Blogilates workout routine. If you don’t know what blogilates is it’s a combination of workout videos, meal plans, inspiration, etc. It is a form of pop Pilates and you can follow a calendar that tells you what exercises to do each day.
2.Start a business
If you have been following me for awhile you will know I just launched my first beauty product the Charcoal Creme Face Mask. If you are out of college for the summer or just find you have more free time on your hands. Find out what you are passionate about and see how you can turn that into a business. https://minimalistprincess.myshopify.com/
If you have extra free time it can feel great to give back to your community by volunteering. I know there a lot of opportunities at the boys and girls club for volunteering during this time of year. It’s a good idea to get a few of your friends involved as well, it makes it all the more fun.
4.Have a yard sale!
I’m always a fan of de-cluttering your home and this is the perfect time of year for a yard sale. Make a few bucks this summer and clear your home of clutter by putting on a yard sale. You would be surprised at all the stuff you will find in your house.
